Job summary

Pacifico Energy LLC is seeking a Mechanical QA Inspector for the Cedar Creek project to inspect major equipment installations and rotating machinery, ensuring adherence to vendor specifications and industry standards. You will verify settings, witness testing, review documentation, and participate in client hold points to ensure quality and safety on the 1,100 MW gas turbine project in Nebraska.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on experience in power or process plants, knowledge of ASME VIII

Qualifications

• 7+ years inspecting mechanical installation on power or process plants.
• Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII and API tank standards.
• Hands-on experience with large rotating equipment installation.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification.
• Technical qualification, or equivalent years of field experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect major equipment installation and mechanical balance of plant.
• Observe equipment receipt, storage and preservation; verify tolerances.
• Witness tank testing and inspect tank installation.
• Review vendor documentation and installation records.
• Attend client hold points and sign off where authorized.
• Raise and close nonconformances.
