Job summary

Pacifico Energy seeks a Mechanical QA Inspector for the Cedar Creek gas turbine project. You will inspect major equipment installation, tanks, rotating equipment and the mechanical balance of plant, and hold client hold points that construction cannot sign off.

Candidates should have 7+ years inspecting mechanical installation in power or process plants, with working knowledge of ASME VIII and API tank standards, and hands-on experience with large rotating equipment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years inspecting mechanical installation in power or process plants.
• Hands-on experience with large rotating equipment installation.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification.
• Technical qualification, or equivalent years of field experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment receipt, storage and preservation.
• Verify equipment setting, alignment and grouting against vendor tolerances.
• Inspect tank installation and witness tank testing.
• Review vendor documentation and installation records.
• Attend client hold points, including machine setting, and sign off where authorized.
• Raise and drive closure of nonconformances.
