Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical construction from preconstruction through closeout. You will oversee budgets, schedules, procurement, and client relationships while ensuring safe, high-quality project execution.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in PM for mechanical construction and a solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and MEP systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PM experience in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP systems.
• Experience with Procore or equivalent.
• Ability to travel to project sites.
• Proven budgeting and cost control.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop execution strategies, schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and milestones.
• Coordinate activities across PM, field operations, VDC, Engineering, Procurement, and other internal teams.
• Maintain ownership of project performance and ensure contractual milestones are achieved.
• Identify potential challenges early and develop proactive solutions to keep projects moving forward.
• Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
