Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager in Oakland, CA to lead mechanical contracting projects on-site in the East Bay. This permanent role entails full lifecycle oversight from preconstruction through closeout, with a strong emphasis on budgets, schedules, and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of relevant construction/PM experience and a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent field.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant construction/project management experience.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, bid documents, and project scope and identify deadlines, risks, and key deliverables.
• Develop preconstruction schedules, labor/material codes, billing schedules, and project budgets.
• Manage subcontractor and consultant selection, procurement, purchase orders, and material/equipment quotes.
• Coordinate submittals, RFIs, change orders, project documentation, and schedule impacts.
• Conduct regular site visits and startup meetings to monitor progress, quality, safety, and compliance.
• Manage monthly billing, project costs, cash flow, and change management to maintain profitability.
• Track milestones, identify potential delays or claims, and develop mitigation solutions.
