Job summary

Pennoni is hiring a Project Manager to lead mechanical engineering projects on a full-time basis at our Newark, DE office. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams across diverse facilities, manage budgets and schedules, and provide technical leadership throughout design and documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 12+ years in MEP consulting, with strong HVAC expertise and familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Revit. PE preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related technical discipline).
• 12+ years of experience in MEP consulting.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical utility system design, equipment sizing, spec development, and codes/standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across R&D facilities, labs, and commercial buildings.
• Manage budget, schedule, quality, staffing, client communications and sub-consultants.
• Provide technical leadership and review drawings/specifications; complete design tasks as needed.
• Prepare proposals from client RFPs and scopes of work.
• Monitor project billings and accounts receivable collections.
• Maintain and develop client relationships.
