Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Construction Project Manager - Mechanical to lead a variety of mechanical projects in the DMV area, including HVAC, renovation, restoration, hospital construction, and remodels.

The successful candidate will manage all phases from concept, design, and planning to installation, testing, and handover, coordinating piping, duct, chiller, and boiler systems while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical project management in construction
• Proven experience in HVAC projects, renovation, restoration, hospital construction and remodels
• Proficient in piping, duct, chiller, and boiler systems
• PE license is a plus
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Excellent project management and leadership skills
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using project management software and tools
• Willingness to travel to construction sites as needed

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of mechanical construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are on time, within budget, and meet safety standards
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists to meet project goals
• Prepare and present project proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets
• Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment
• Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and laws
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure design and safety adherence
• Resolve issues during construction
• Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders
