Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.
• Experience managing HVAC, plumbing, piping, or design-build projects.
• Experience overseeing large commercial, healthcare, life sciences, institutional, or mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple mechanical construction projects from planning through completion.
• Mentor and support Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams.
• Drive project performance, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Partner with leadership on staffing, strategy, and resource planning.
• Oversee schedules, productivity, quality, and safety.
• Coordinate with VDC, fabrication, and field teams.
• Review contracts, forecasts, and cost-to-complete reports.
• Monitor project financial performance and profitability.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.

A well-established mechanical contractor is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead complex HVAC, plumbing, piping, and design-build projects across Greater Boston.

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys driving project success, mentoring teams, building client relationships, and influencing company-wide operations.

Working closely with executive leadership, you'll oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout while helping shape the future growth of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead multiple mechanical construction projects from planning through completion


• Mentor and support Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams


• Drive project performance, accountability, and operational excellence


• Partner with leadership on staffing, strategy, and resource planning

Operations & Execution

• Oversee project schedules, productivity, quality, and safety


• Coordinate with VDC, fabrication, and field teams


• Ensure successful project delivery through proactive planning and communication


• Support implementation of new technologies and processes

Client Management

• Build strong relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Construction Managers


• Support contract negotiations, change orders, and project issue resolution


• Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships


• Review contracts, forecasts, and cost-to-complete reports


• Monitor project financial performance and profitability


• Identify and mitigate project risks

What We're Looking For

Experience

• 10+ years of mechanical construction project management experience


• Background managing HVAC, plumbing, piping, or design-build projects


• Experience overseeing large commercial, healthcare, life sciences, institutional, or mission-critical projects

Leadership

• Proven ability to lead teams and mentor developing professionals


• Strong communication, client-facing, and decision-making skills

Technical Knowledge
