Job summary

McGraw Kokosing seeks a Mechanical Superintendent to lead mechanical teams on large-scale projects in Middletown, OH. You will drive safety, quality, client relations, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management from preconstruction through completion.

You will supervise Project Engineers and Foremen, coordinate with Project Manager and Director, and ensure resources and schedules align with goals. Union projects experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10 years field experience with background as skilled tradesperson or 4-year eng/CM degree plus 7 years field experience.
• 4-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent.
• Prior union project experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set a Safety 24/7 culture for crews.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities.
• Lead projects from start to finish including planning, scheduling, and coordination.
• Ensure team members have appropriate resources and information.
• Provide guidance to team members and resolve startup/closeout issues.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Director on personnel actions per policy and laws.
• Identify and minimize obstacles in the construction process.
• Establish project objectives, policies, and performance standards.
• Outline work plans, assign duties, and authority with project staff.
• Review proposals to determine timeframe, funding, and resources.
• Monitor status reports and adjust schedules as needed.
• Provide technical advice and resolve problems.
• Coordinate activities with subcontractors.
• Analyze and execute CPM-based schedules.
• Represent company in Owner meetings.
• Lead daily/weekly/monthly project meetings.
