Job summary

Pacifico Energy is hiring a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead owner’s engineering for gas turbine power generation projects, including design, procurement, and EPC interfaces. You will coordinate with OEMs, EPCs, and internal teams to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance across development and execution phases.

The role emphasizes leading technical requirements, evaluating technologies, and driving lifecycle optimization while maintaining safety and environmental standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in open cycle gas turbine power generation development, EPC execution, OEM environments, or owner/operator organizations.
• Deep technical knowledge of turbine auxiliaries, package integration, and balance‑of‑plant interfaces.
• Experience supporting air permitting, emissions compliance, and environmental control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide owner’s engineering leadership for gas turbine power generation projects.
• Oversee mechanical packaging, piping layouts, and equipment integration for gas turbine and balance‑of‑plant systems.
• Lead RFQ development, bid specifications, and contractual performance requirements for major equipment and EPC contracts.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across project phases.
• Support EPC execution, FATs/SATs, and commissioning, and ongoing asset performance optimization.
