Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Baltimore seeks an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to lead design and construction administration for building projects. You will handle mechanical system design, energy targets, and coordination within multi-discipline teams.

The role requires a PE license (MD) or the ability to obtain within 6 months, 11–15 years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 11–15 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and energy modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction documents including plans, sections, schedules and specifications for mechanical systems.
• Perform energy and life-cycle cost analysis for mechanical design.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Develop control strategies, equipment layouts, and system concepts; mentor junior engineers.
