Job summary

Henderson Group, Milwaukee-based manufacturer of custom automated production equipment, seeks a Sr. Project Engineer to guide projects from concept to completion. You will lead design teams, manage resources, and coordinate with customers to ensure milestones are met.

The role requires a strong mechanical design background, 5+ years in project design for customized equipment, and proficiency with SolidWorks. Welding, fixture design, GD&T and robotics experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• BSME or similar degree required.
• 5+ years of project design experience for fully customized automated production equipment.
• SolidWorks proficiency required.
• Experience with welding, fixture design and GD&T.
• Desirable experience with robotics, vision systems, and computer controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall design of custom automated equipment contracted for clients.
• Break down design tasks for large projects, manage resources, and communicate milestones to the team.
• Incorporate robotics, vision systems, welding, fixtures, controls, material handling, lasers/plasma cutting, hydraulics and pneumatics where applicable.
• Regularly update customers and management on project status.
