Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to take a turnkey design from concept through completion in Milwaukee. You will lead design efforts for custom automation, coordinate resources, and ensure milestones are met while addressing technical issues across pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics and controls.

You will liaise with customers and suppliers to keep projects on track. Ideal candidates hold a BSME or equivalent, have 5+ years of experience designing customized automated

Qualifications

• BSME or similar degree with strong mechanical design skills.
• 5+ years of project design experience for fully customized automated production equipment.
• SolidWorks proficiency is required.
• Experience with welding, fixture design and GD&T.
• Nice to have robotics, vision systems, data acquisition experience.
• Experience working with customers and suppliers is desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage large projects to a schedule.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall design of a custom automated machine contracted for by a client.
• Lead a team of design engineers and outside contractors on larger projects.
• Manage resources and breakdown design tasks, timelines, and milestones; communicate to the team and hold them accountable.
• Incorporate robotics, vision systems, welding, fixtures, controls, material handling, and high-speed assembly.
• Communicate project status regularly with customers and management.
