Job summary

The candidate should have a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong Excel and estimating-software skills, and solid analytical and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in CM/Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in mechanical/process estimating for industrial construction or large-scale capital projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, HVAC, and utilities.
• Experience developing and evaluating estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for mechanical and process scopes on large projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for piping, equipment, HVAC, and utilities.
• Review drawings, piping isometrics, layouts, specs, and bid documents.
• Develop labor, materials, equipment, fabrication, installation, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate mechanical subcontractor and vendor proposals for pricing accuracy.
• Identify scope gaps, constructability issues, risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Participate in design-build estimating, budgeting, bid reviews, and reconciliations.
• Maintain estimating documentation and historical cost data.
