Zusammenfassung

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a Mechanical/Process Estimator to develop and review detailed cost estimates for large-scale industrial and manufacturing projects. You will perform quantity takeoffs, analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs, and review drawings and bid documents to ensure accurate pricing.

You will collaborate with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams from preconstruction through execution, participate in design-build estimating

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Systems, or related field.
• Experience in mechanical/process estimating for industrial construction.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, piping isometrics, and technical specs.
• Experience evaluating mechanical subcontractor bids and pricing.

Aufgaben

• Develop detailed cost estimates for mechanical and process construction scopes on large-scale industrial and manufacturing projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for process piping, mechanical equipment, HVAC, utilities, and associated systems.
• Review drawings, piping isometrics, layouts, specs, and bid documents to determine project requirements.
• Develop estimates for labor, materials, equipment, fabrication, installation, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate mechanical subcontractor and vendor proposals for scope, pricing, and competitiveness.
• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, project risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams preconstruction and during execution.
• Participate in design-build estimating, conceptual budgeting, bid reviews, and estimate reconciliation.
• Develop cost comparisons and evaluate alternative mechanical systems to support budgets.
