Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects from pre-construction through close-out in a fast-paced environment. You will manage scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and client relationships across HVAC, plumbing, and process piping scopes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical/construction PM, strong leadership, and travel readiness to sites, with proficiency in Procore, Viewpoint, BIM 360, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PM experience in mechanical or commercial construction.
• Experience managing HVAC, plumbing, or process piping.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, project financials, and cost controls.
• Proficiency with Procore, Viewpoint, BIM 360, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to travel 80-100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple commercial mechanical projects.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project financials, forecast costs, and maintain profitability.
• Track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
• Serve as primary contact for general contractors, owners, engineers, and vendors.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, foremen, and safety personnel.
• Attend jobsite meetings and conduct project walkthroughs.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with codes.
• Mentor and support Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Ensure timely project close-out including punch list and turnover documentation.
