Job summary

P1 Construction, LLC. is seeking a Mechanical Construction Senior Project Manager for the Lenexa, Kansas office. This role contributes to project success by managing construction projects to meet schedules and budgets, and by leading field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of mechanical field experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of mechanical construction project management experience.
• Must pass criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Manages construction projects or assists senior management on large projects. Oversees field staff, subcontractor performance, and vendor compliance; ensures contract documents, budgets, safety, and legal requirements are met.
• Manages project coordination, scheduling and construction.
• Monitors project accounting and profitability.
• Maintains relationships and communications with clients, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, officials, P1 staff, and supervisor.
• Leads subordinates per P1 leadership model and operating principles.
• Travel to assigned jobsites and P1 offices is substantial.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a construction or mechanical engineering related discipline

Five years of mechanical field experience/training/education

Equivalent combination of the above
