Job summary

University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Senior Project Manager for the San Diego area. You will lead safety, preconstruction, design‑assist, field labor productivity, QA, coordination, and financial outcomes.

Responsibilities include owner/client relations, change orders, procurement, reporting, and directing reports, with focus on healthcare, data centers, labs, higher education and semiconductor projects across a $15M–$200M contract range.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' project management experience in mechanical contracting or related construction firms.
• 5+ years in industrial projects.
• 5+ years in preconstruction/design‑assist.
• Experience delivering healthcare, data center, lab, higher education and semiconductor projects ($15M–$200M).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of field personnel and overall project execution from preconstruction through turnover.
• Oversee preconstruction, design‑assist, scheduling, field productivity, QA and coordination.
• Manage project financials, projections, reporting, procurement, change orders and cash flow.
• Direct and supervise direct reports; ensure compliance with plans, procedures and programs.
• Maintain owner/client relations and coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
