120 Degreez is seeking a Senior Mechanical & Plumbing Engineer to lead design, coordination, and QA/QC across commercial projects in San Diego. You will mentor junior staff, guide mechanical (HVAC) and plumbing engineering from concept through construction, and ensure code compliance and project accuracy.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive MEP experience, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools within a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum of 15 years of commercial MEP consulting experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading both Mechanical (HVAC) and Plumbing engineering design for commercial projects.
• Strong working knowledge of California Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code, Building Code, and Title 24.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC and plumbing system design for commercial projects.
• Perform and review load calculations, equipment sizing, and layouts.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, and structural teams for utility connections.
• Provide QA/QC reviews across multiple projects to maintain quality standards.
• Mentor engineers, designers, and PMs to support technical development.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and project specifications.
