Job summary

P1 Construction, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Piping Construction Estimator for the Lenexa area to prepare cost estimates used for bids, planning and scheduling. You will coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive, accurate proposals.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of mechanical piping estimating, ACCUBID Enterprise experience is preferred, and a background in non-residential projects over $250k.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical piping construction estimating experience.
• Experience bidding on non-residential projects $250k+ or more.
• Accubid Enterprise experience preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Computes cost factors and prepares construction estimates for management planning, bidding, subcontractors and scheduling.
• Leads the estimating team, manages work assignments and training.
• Reviews market potential with Marketing for bids aligned to strategic goals.
• Promotes the company’s capabilities with key decision makers in owners or GC firms.
• Consults with clients and vendors to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Identifies cost trends to help reduce costs and improve processes.
