Garney Construction is hiring a Mechanical Pipe Foreman to lead field crews on heavy civil projects. The role emphasizes safety, coordination of activities, and adherence to project plans, with a focus on pipe installations for water mains and sewers.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of construction or mechanical experience and is proficient in reading blueprints and pipe specifications, including ductile, steel, PVC, and HDPE pipes. Overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of construction or mechanical experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with ductile, steel, PVC, and HDPE pipe.
• Willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Drive job site safety and promote safety culture.
• Oversee and coordinate the activities of field employees.
• Follow project plans and schedules to meet production goals.
• Translate general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for the crew.
• Check equipment for proper working conditions.
• Assist in cost control.
• Maintain employee time reporting.
• Prepare reports as required.
• Understand line and grade, shoot grade with a level, and set up a pipe laser.
