Duke Energy's Catawba Nuclear Plant in York, SC seeks a Mechanical Systems Engineer to join the Plant Engineering-Operations Support Engineering team. You will support preventive maintenance, analyze equipment health, and provide technical leadership to Operations and Maintenance to ensure reliability.

The role involves field inspections, walkdowns, and assisting in long-range asset strategies, with a four-day 10-hour workweek and hybrid schedule.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Master’s degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. degree.
• Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates high conduct of safety culture (personal, nuclear and environmental).
• Monitor and trend system performance to identify issues proactively.
• Provide input to station management on work priority for long-term reliability.
• Review maintenance window scope and help prioritize work to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to solve emergent plant issues.
• Lead or support audits and inspections and participate in walkdowns as needed.
