Job summary

Real Time Recruitment Solutions (RTRS) is seeking a hands-on Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to bridge development and scalable manufacturing for a next‑gen clean‑energy platform. This role sits at the intersection of product development, manufacturing engineering, reliability, and system design.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to move technology from prototype to pilot, then to full production, ensuring products are designed, built, maintained, and deployed effectively in

Responsibilities

• Assist with prototype builds, pilot production activities, testing, and validation.
• Develop engineering docs, assembly procedures, manufacturing instructions, and design release packs.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing, assembly, and field-support challenges.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Help define maintenance, repair, and support strategies for deployed systems.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure successful transfer and readiness.

An innovative clean-energy technology company is seeking a hands-on Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and commercialisation of a next-generation energy platform.

This role sits at the intersection of product development, manufacturing engineering, reliability, and system design. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team to help transition technology from prototype and pilot-stage development into scalable manufacturing and commercial deployment.

This is not a pure design role, nor is it a management position. We're looking for an engineer who understands how great products are designed, built, manufactured, maintained, and improved throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the transition of products from development into manufacturing environments
• Improve product manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and overall system performance
• Drive Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DFMA) initiatives throughout the product lifecycle
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, systems, and manufacturing teams to optimise designs for production
• Assist with prototype builds, pilot production activities, testing, and product validation
• Develop engineering documentation, assembly procedures, manufacturing instructions, and design release packages
• Identify and resolve manufacturing, assembly, and field-support challenges
• Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action activities
• Help define maintenance, repair, and support strategies for deployed systems
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure successful product transfer and production readiness

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline
• Experience supporting products from development through manufacturing and commercial deployment
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and product lifecycle management
• Experience with DFMA, design transfer, NPI (New Product Introduction), or production launch activities
• Hands-on engineering approach with the ability to solve practical technical problems
• Experience working with complex electro-mechanical or engineered systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be highly beneficial:

• Advanced manufacturing
• Energy systems
• Complex electro-mechanical products

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful engineer will likely have 8-15 years of experience and will have been directly involved in taking products from concept through to production.

You may currently hold titles such as:
