Job summary

Inteplast Group is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role focuses on inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime in a fast-paced industrial setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 5+ years of hands-on experience and strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and reading blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in mechanical maintenance preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a mechanical maintenance technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or emergency callouts when required.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and identify solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Install, assemble, and dismantle machinery as needed.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Replace or repair defective components, such as bearings, gears, motors, and pumps.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members, engineers, and production staff to improve equipment efficiency.
• Maintain accurate detailed records of maintenance work performed.
• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
