Qualifications

• Five years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation equipment or electrical systems.
• Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience substitutions can replace education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises the work of the Maintenance and Operations Section of a 285-bed facility.
• Approves time and attendance and conducts performance appraisals on employees in the maintenance section.
• Inspects, checks work of employees performing mechanical maintenance, HVAC and electrical work.
• Supervises special installations, inspections or repairs of mechanical equipment.
• Recommends improvements in maintenance and operating techniques.
• Performs inventories and maintains property control records.
• Consults with management and provides advice concerning operations.
