Job summary

The Woodyard Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor at International Paper in Vicksburg, MS leads a skilled maintenance crew responsible for the repair, rebuild and preventive maintenance of mill equipment to ensure high reliability and cost control.

Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager, you will oversee outage planning, direct routine repairs, and drive reliability initiatives while upholding safety and workmanship standards in a demanding industrial environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 7 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in mechanical, chemical, or pulp & paper engineering.
• 3–5 years in a manufacturing maintenance leadership role preferred.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment, welding, pipefitting and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical maintenance, repair and rebuild of equipment.
• Direct routine repairs, outage planning and execution.
• Drive reliability efforts and prevent rework.
• Coach team to comply with standards and safety practices.
• Plan daily, weekly and outage activities and manage crew performance.
