Thornton Tomasetti, a leading engineering firm, seeks a Senior Mechanical Associate in our Forensics Practice. You will guide project direction, client strategy, and technical excellence, serving as a trusted advisor to major clients and leading teams.

Responsibilities include owning the technical vision on large forensic projects, building client relationships, and driving high-level proposal development and market presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with leading complex projects.
• Recognized subject matter expertise with strong technical judgment.
• Leadership that mentors teams and grows client-facing presence.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision on large or complex forensic projects, leading reviews and defining best-in-class solutions.
• Serve as the primary client partner, building trusted relationships and strategic impact.
• Lead and grow high-performing teams across multiple staff, balancing technical and managerial responsibilities.
• Drive new business and market presence through proposals, thought leadership, and industry engagement.
• Shape firm strategy, develop your business roadmap, and advise leadership on opportunities and trends.
• Strengthen industry position by deepening expertise and expanding into new opportunities.
