Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Staff Mechanical Lead Engineer in Roy, UT, to lead mechanical design activities for the Sentinel program. You will coordinate across engineering and IPTs, manage technical baselines, and drive design reviews to meet program objectives.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive experience, 6+ years leading mechanical design, and the ability to obtain SAP approval. Travel up to 25% and a Secret clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with significant related experience; advanced degrees preferred.
• Active security clearance and ability to obtain SAP approval.

Responsibilities

• Review INF work products via peer reviews, design reviews, and board meetings to ensure adherence to requirements.
• Lead mechanical design efforts for large aerospace/defense infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and program leadership to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
• Develop and implement process improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
