Job Title: Lead Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

As a lead mechanical engineer, you will take charge of mechanical engineering projects, providing hands-on technical guidance to ensure robust designs and seamless execution. You will spearhead the planning and development of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems, particularly for healthcare and mission-critical environments. Your expertise in building codes, energy efficiency standards, and sustainability practices will enable you to introduce innovative, forward-thinking ideas. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will maintain a keen focus on quality and contribute to peer reviews to uphold high technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering projects, providing technical guidance for solid design and execution.
• Plan and develop HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for healthcare and mission-critical spaces.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, energy efficiency standards, and sustainability practices.
• Maintain quality throughout projects and participate in peer reviews for high technical standards.
• Engage with clients as a technical partner to tailor solutions to their specific needs.
• Collaborate with business development to explore opportunities, especially in Atlanta and Carolina markets.
• Support proposal writing, client interviews, and presentations to showcase company strengths.
• Guide and support junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical engineering expertise, with proficiency in mechanical design and Revit.

Work Environment

The office is located in Atlanta, GA, with 10 employees based out of this location. There is flexibility to work remotely, with employees having the option to go in office Mondays and Thursdays, and occasional site visits to projects. The organization is employee-owned, with an ESOP program and a strong emphasis on team culture. Flexibility with scheduling allows for remote work with site visits as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $155000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
