Job summary

Core Scientific is seeking a Mechanical Journeyman for on-site work in Texas. The role involves diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical systems across data centers, including HVAC, hydronics, and related equipment.

You will perform break-fix, routine PMs, and support mechanical projects while coordinating with the team. Qualified candidates have formal vocational training, 7+ years of trade experience, a valid driver’s license, and proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced facility

Qualifications

• Formal vocational school training in the fundamentals of the specific trade.
• 7+ years of increasingly responsible experience in the specific trade.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and small hand tools.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Break-fix of electro-mechanical systems (HVAC, Hydronics, Appliances, Rollup doors, dock locks, air compressors).
• Conduct spill and leak detection system inspections and repairs as needed.
• Hydronic rack cooling maintenance and commissioning.
• PMs on HVAC and Hydronic systems (Pumps, Strainers, Cooling Towers).
• Team scheduling and material requisition.
• Provide mechanical project support.
• Clean In Place on heat exchangers.
• Chiller tube inspections and cleaning.
• Site plumbing maintenance/repair.
• Conduct eyewash stations/shower maintenance and inspections.
• Perform forklift maintenance.
• Perform gas valve preventative maintenance.
