Job summary

Core Scientific, Inc. is seeking an experienced electrician for our data center operations. The Journeyman will perform journey-level electrical duties in diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment at the assigned data center.

Requires 7+ years in the electrical trade, vocational training, and a valid license. On-site work with occasional travel between data centers. Strong communication and ability to work autonomously within a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Formal vocational school training in the fundamentals of the electrical trade.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical trade.
• Unlimited electrical or contractor's license, required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform lighting preventative maintenance.
• Perform battery preventative maintenance and inverter testing on battery Backups for lights.
• Perform duties related to rack moves, deployments, and decommissioning.
• Perform preventative maintenance and related security gate repair.
• Responsible for team scheduling and material requisition.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures per NEC and local codes.
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards and repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective maintenance.
