Job summary

Blue Origin in Van Horn, TX is seeking a hands-on technician for test facilities and maintenance. The role involves operating pneumatic, hydraulic, and propellant systems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and supporting instrumentation installation and calibration.

You will work in a safety-focused environment with cross-functional engineering teams, tackle long-day shift rotations, and may qualify for relocation support and living allowances as part of the incentives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in industrial facilities, test ops, aerospace/aviation maintenance, or similar high-consequence environments; or 1–2 years with technical training.
• Experience with fluid/pneumatic or propellant-like systems and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to readengineering drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Comfort around heavy equipment and cranes; willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operate test facility systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and propellant distribution systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on valves, piping, pumps, regulators, actuators, and support equipment.
• Inspect and repair facility components to maintain readiness and reliability.
• Update maintenance records and documentation.
• Assist installation, alignment, and removal of test articles and fixtures.
• Support wiring, calibration, and instrumentation installation and troubleshooting.
• Participate in safety walkdowns, hazard assessments, and incident reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement design changes and improvements.
