Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, California, seeks a senior engineer to design high-reliability eVTOL systems. You will manage zonal digital mock-ups, interface requirements, and BOM structures while coordinating with manufacturing to ensure design for manufacturing.

The role requires advanced degrees and extensive aerospace experience. Strong leadership, communication skills, and project management are essential, with exposure to aircraft certification processes and cross-disciplinary

Qualifications

10+ years of systems or structural design engineering experience.
BS, MS, or PhD in engineering.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Experience with aircraft type certification under 14 CFR Part 23/25/27/29 or equivalent.

Responsabilités

Collaborate with engineering disciplines to design high-reliability, safety-critical systems for an eVTOL aircraft.
Zonal management of the digital mock-up for a large section of the aircraft, including control space allocation and routing envelopes.
Manage interface requirements models (IRMs) for the zone and the BOM structure.
Hold regular design reviews and resolve conflicts to mature the design through CDR.
Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure the aircraft zone is designed for manufacturing.
