Archer, an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, seeks a senior systems/structures engineer to lead high‑reliability design for an all‑electric VTOL aircraft. You will collaborate across engineering to route subsystems, manage zones, and ensure manufacturability.

Required: 10+ years in systems or structural design, advanced engineering degrees, and proven experience with aircraft certification under 14 CFR Parts 23/25/27/29. Cad/BOM mastery and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of systems or structural design engineering experience.
• BS, MS, or PhD in engineering.
• Experience with aircraft type certification under 14 CFR Part 23/25/27/29.
• Expert in CAD design and BOM management.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with engineering disciplines to design high-reliability, safety-critical systems for an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
• Zonal management of the digital mock-up for a large section of the aircraft.
• Control space allocation for all subsystems and manage routing envelopes.
• Ensure all subsystems are accessible and maintainable.
• Manage interface requirements models (IRMs) for the zone.
• Manage the top aircraft assembly part number and BOM structure.
• Lead design reviews and mature the design through CDR.
• Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure the zone is designed for manufacturing.
