Job summary

Collins Mfg is seeking an In-Process Inspector to monitor parts at various stages of manufacture and ensure compliance with quality and customer requirements. The role involves mechanical and visual inspection, training shop floor staff on QC methods, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment with proper tools and measurement devices.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of related experience in machining, proficiency in shop math, and knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y 14.5.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Specific technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years related experience, preferably with a machining background and in-process inspection experience.
• Knowledge of technical drawing interpretation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately and thoroughly.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically and visually inspect parts according to customer requirements.
• Inspect workmanship.
• Train shop floor employees on QC methods for each job.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
