Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Estimator – Mechanical to contribute to design and cost estimation for HVAC projects in a dynamic team environment. The role involves detailed take-offs, bid development, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring alignment with customer facility requirements.

Candidate should have strong reading of blueprints, HVAC knowledge, and proficient communication. Office-based role in NC with comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and calculations.
• Strong communication skills and work ethic.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating, bidding, vendor and subcontractor proposal review and purchasing.
• Develop detailed quantity take-offs for projects.
• Create bid packages and scopes of work for subcontractors; evaluate bids and issue contracts.
• Collect project data and compare with office capabilities.
• Perform equipment takeoffs and prepare submittals.
• Support Managers and Project Managers with technical guidance.
• Review contracts and terms using standard templates when applicable.
• Coordinate selection, pricing, and integration of equipment and services.
