MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Estimator to support preconstruction efforts in the HVAC sector. You will lead estimating activities, review vendor and subcontractor bids, and collaborate with the leadership team to determine bid strategies for projects.

The role requires strong take-off skills, budget development, and leadership to guide junior estimators. A background in HVAC and proficiency with MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years in HVAC industry.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction plans and specs.
• Understanding HVAC systems and controls and related calculations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and professionalism.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating, bidding, vendor and subcontractor proposal review and purchasing processes.
• Collaborate with Director of Preconstruction and leadership to determine bid/no-bid.
• Assign lead estimator for each project based on skills and schedule.
• Mentor and supervise other estimators.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Develop budgets from narratives through design development to construction documents.
• Prepare and review contract terms and subcontracts.
