Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems Design Analysis Engineer to support the Air Dominance Proprietary 2 team in Hazelwood, Missouri. The role focuses on designing, developing, integrating, and validating ground support equipment and related hardware used to assemble, inspect, test, transport, maintain, and sustain military systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials)
• Active U.S. Security Clearance
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ground support equipment for military platform development and sustainment
• Create fixtures, test adapters, maintenance stands, lifting devices and transport equipment
• Collaborate with systems engineering, manufacturing, test, logistics, supply chain and maintainability teams
• Ensure equipment meets safety, maintainability, reliability, usability and operational needs
• Develop drawings, models, specifications, interface definitions and technical documentation
• Support integration of equipment into production, test, maintenance and field environments
• Conduct trade studies evaluating concepts, materials, cost, schedule and performance
• Verify and validate designs through analysis, inspection, test and review
• Coordinate with military customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues
• Support design reviews and milestone events
• Assess design changes and impact on platform sustainment
• Ensure compliance with military, safety, quality and program standards
• Support transition from design through procurement, fabrication, deployment and use
