Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman to lead field crews on mission-critical projects in Houston, TX. You will supervise crew execution, read blueprints, manage manpower, and coordinate with the Superintendent to keep schedules on track.

Responsibilities include daily assignments, safety leadership, on-site training, tool and material management, and reporting progress into BIU systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Foreman, Lead, or Crew Supervisor in construction (mission‑critical experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and OSHA safety practices.
• Proven ability to supervise crews and coordinate activities within a BIU or team structure.
• Effective leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field crews to ensure tasks are completed on time and according to plans and specifications
• Communicate daily assignments, goals, and safety expectations to team members
• Provide hands‑on guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced workers
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials
• Support the Superintendent and BIU leadership by maintaining accountability of manpower, materials, and equipment needs at the crew level
• Report crew readiness and progress into BIU operational updates, including daily accomplishments and challenges
• Participate in BIU planning sessions to align crew tasks with manpower laydowns and project schedules
• Monitor crew performance against BIU standards and SOPs, reinforcing discipline and accountability
• Assist in incident response by coordinating crew‑level adjustments and implementing contingency plans
• Assist the Superintendent in coordinating subcontractor and BIU team activities to maintain workflow
• Track daily progress, reporting completed work, delays, material shortages, and operational issues
• Ensure materials are properly staged, stored, and installed to support uninterrupted operations
• Identify risks or conflicts at the crew level and escalate promptly to the Site Superintendent
