Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy seeks an experienced General Foreman to supervise on-site Foremen and technical leads, ensuring safe, productive work while controlling costs and maintaining quality in construction activities.

The role requires independent decision-making, coordination with the Trade Superintendent, and the ability to plan labor, materials, and equipment across discipline scopes. Experience with utility-scale solar, BESS, or related projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license and acceptable MVR.
• Ability to manage and supervise multiple employees.
• Thorough knowledge of tools and equipment uses and limitations.
• Good communication skills to deal with owners and employees.
• Relocation to project site is required.
• May pursue licensure (contract licensing, journeyman or master electrician).
• Ability to read and understand prints and contract documents.
• Knowledge of federal and state codes for the project.
• Previous utility-scale BESS, solar, substation or related construction management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs Foremen and technical leads on-site to maximize resource use and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Provides formal coaching and regular feedback to Field personnel.
• Schedules equipment, materials and tools to maximize production and minimize costs.
• Collaborates with Trade Superintendent on schedule activities.
• Manages and implements standardized Work Plans and Work Methods.
• Assists Trade Superintendent in process improvement efforts.
• Acts as a civil and mechanical technical consultant to field personnel.
• Maintains safe working conditions and safety procedures on the project.
• Enforces safety regulations at site and communicates concerns to Trade Superintendent.
• Manages safety training, crane and lifting operations, DOT, site conditions, JHA, electrical hazards.
• Keeps Trade Superintendent updated on project issues and status.
• Plans staffing, hiring, promotion, and discipline with proper utilization of resources and policies.
• Maintains crew and equipment matrices and updates operations analysis as needed.
• Familiarizes with site conditions and scope of work per contract.
