Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) seeks a Senior Mechanical Construction Field Engineer I–III to be based in Aiken, SC, at the Savannah River Site. The role provides engineering support for construction activities from conception through turnover, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

The position covers field coordination, material takeoffs, hazard analysis, design package execution, and turnover documentation, with opportunities for career progression within the Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with construction experience in the mechanical area.
• High School Diploma/GED with relevant construction engineering or practical construction experience in the mechanical area.
• Offer level will correspond to experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides knowledgeable support and coordination of design/construction to resolve design problems of ranging complexity.
• Performs material takeoff and develops BOM/MSR based on issued design; verifies material compliance.
• Performs/supports walk downs to plan work packages and identify hazards.
• Performs hazard analyses and develops mitigation plans per site procedures.
• Supports design planning meetings; facilitates timely issue of design packages and changes.
• Develops construction scope and schedules; assembles and updates work packages.
