Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience in mechanical estimating for large projects.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• General knowledge of construction principles/process and contractual delivery methods.
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs, change order pricing and pricing of mechanical and plumbing estimates.
• Develop and document logical assumptions during conceptual estimating activities.
• Solicit subcontractors during bidding and organize information post-bid.
• Track design development, estimate revisions, scope changes, and budget impacts.
• Support preparation and response to RFIs, bidder questions, addenda, and design clarifications.
• Review subcontractor and vendor proposals for compliance with documents and codes.
• Assist with procurement strategies, long-lead equipment reviews, and cost impacts.
• Coordinate estimate information with BIM and VDC teams to support model-based validation.
• Maintain cost history and lessons learned for future estimates.
• Assist with estimating deliverables for owner presentations and proposals.
• Communicate estimate basis and risks to operations teams.
• Assist with post-bid reconciliation and subcontractor award recommendations.
• Develop relationships with internal clients and subcontractors.
