Job summary

Rudolph & Sletten, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our Menlo Park office. The role coordinates with the VP of Estimating and Senior Estimators on mechanical preconstruction tasks, prepares conceptual and detailed cost estimates, and manages bid processes for HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Mechanical field required.
• 12–15 years of experience in mechanical trades estimating with major contractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual cost models/budgets for HVAC/Plumbing/Piping/Fire Protection from minimal design information.
• Prepare detailed estimates as documents progress in design.
• Solicit, receive and analyze proposals from subcontractors; recommend award.
• Review basis of design, plans and specs for constructibility and cost effectiveness.
• Lead bid analysis and supplier negotiations; document scope and exclusions clearly.
