Job summary

Loenbro, LLC is seeking a Commercial Mechanical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal, and related systems. You will analyze plans, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing to develop competitive bids and support preconstruction activities.

The role requires 3+ years of estimating experience, strong math and reading of construction documents, and proficiency with estimating tools; position is full-time with an office-based schedule and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3+ years of commercial mechanical estimating experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and other mechanical systems.
• Develop complete labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Prepare bid proposals, budgets, conceptual estimates, and change order pricing.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and project site visits.
