Job summary

Leviton is seeking a senior leader to guide mechanical engineering across product development, manufacturing transitions, and cost-reduction initiatives. You will mentor engineers, align strategies with company goals, and drive efficient, high-quality design processes.

You will oversee lifecycle responsibilities from concept through production, maintaining schedules and budgets while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience.
• Proven leadership or management experience in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of lead and senior engineers.
• Establish and execute mechanical engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Translate product and operational requirements into engineering plans, priorities, and resource strategies.
• Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA), and lifecycle cost optimization.
• Oversee mechanical engineering deliverables across the full product lifecycle from concept to production.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to support launches and readiness.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources and pursue continuous improvement initiatives.
