Job summary

Boralex Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support wind asset maintenance across the US. You will be the technical partner to operations, driving reliability and maintenance strategies, with hands-on involvement in major mechanical interventions and field support.

You will analyze equipment performance, recommend repairs, and ensure compliance with OEM guidance and safety standards across multiple sites in TX, NM, and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 5+ years of wind turbine O&M experience
• Strong understanding of wind turbine mechanical systems
• Ability to interpret inspection results, condition monitoring data, and OEM documentation
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-site environment and travel frequently (TX/NM)

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced inspections of wind turbine mechanical components (gearboxes, main bearings, drivetrains, yaw and pitch systems).
• Analyze equipment condition and performance trends to identify failure modes and degradation patterns.
• Provide technical recommendations and repair strategies based on asset conditions, OEM guidance, and operational constraints.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise major mechanical maintenance activities, including component replacements.
• Develop and improve inspection procedures, maintenance strategies, and technical documentation.
• Lead or support failure investigations and root cause analysis for mechanical incidents.
