Job summary

JST Manufacturing in Meridian, Idaho, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to join our engineering team and support the design and development of custom wet processing equipment. This onsite role requires 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience and proficiency with SolidWorks/3D CAD.

You will design mechanical and automation systems, prepare final drawings, update BOMs, and collaborate across the engineering team to meet manufacturing timelines and ship dates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in equipment or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD design.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and DFMA principles.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, plumbing diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and automation systems, including plumbing and tank systems, while complying with engineering standards and customer requirements.
• Support development of system and engineering specifications by evaluating design feasibility and updating specifications as project requirements evolve.
• Prepare final engineering drawings and develop approval drawing layouts.
• Respond to manufacturing questions and requests for information; verify products meet specifications and resolve discrepancies by updating drawings, routings, and BOMs.
• Prepare BOMs, routers and manufacturing instructions.
• Ensure deliverables are completed on schedule to support manufacturing timelines and customer ship dates.
• Collaborate with engineering team members to coordinate designs and communicate constraints.
• Assist with project estimating and quoting by developing design concepts and providing manufacturing cost inputs.
