Job summary

JST is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to join our Engineering team in Meridian, ID. You will design mechanical and automation systems for custom wet processing equipment, including plumbing and tank systems, while ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing final drawings, updating specifications, BOMs, routers, and manufacturing instructions, and collaborating with engineers to develop cost inputs and feasible solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience in equipment manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or semiconductor industry.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD design.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, plumbing diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare final engineering drawings and approval drawing layouts.

• Ensure engineering deliverables support manufacturing timelines and customer ship dates.
• Collaborate with engineering teammates to coordinate designs and communicate constraints.
• Assist with project estimating and costing by developing concepts and selecting components.

We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to join our Engineering team and support the design and development of custom wet processing equipment.

What You'll Do

• Design mechanical and automation systems, including plumbing and tank systems, while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.
• Support the development of system and engineering specifications by evaluating design feasibility and updating specifications as project requirements evolve.
• Prepare final engineering drawings and develop approval drawing layouts as assigned.
• Respond to manufacturing questions and requests for information. Verify products are manufactured according to engineering specifications and resolve discrepancies by updating drawings, routings, and bills of materials (BOMs) as needed.
• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs), routers and manufacturing instructions
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule to support manufacturing timelines and customer ship dates.
• Collaborate with engineering team members to coordinate designs, communicate design constraints, and develop effective technical solutions.
• Assist with project estimating and quoting by developing design concepts, selecting components, and providing manufacturing cost inputs.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in equipment manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or the semiconductor industry
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD design
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, plumbing diagrams, and technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
