Job Summary

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Ventiva, you will report to the VP of Engineering and play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing our thermal management system for our innovative laptop cooling solution. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and overall quality of our product.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the engineering team to develop the first Solid State Active Thermal Solution for laptops, ensuring optimal heat dissipation and performance.
• Conduct analyses to optimize the design across various laptop configurations and usage scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create prototypes for testing.
• Conduct rigorous testing to verify reliability and durability under various conditions.
• Design mechanical parts and assemblies, analyzing material selection, manufacturability, assembly flow, and tolerances.
• Apply expertise in master modeling, functional dimensioning, GD&T, and FMEA.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system design, materials, and components efficiency.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless production processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to design specifications, testing procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of proven experience in designing and optimizing subsystem solutions for electronic components, preferably in the laptop market.
• Hands-on experience with structured problem solving, design of experiments, root cause analysis, FMEA, and statistical analysis tools like JMP and MiniTab.
• Experience with implementing new products or processes into high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Experience with qualifying new materials or processes in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with developing new materials or processes from concept to production.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, or other 3D modeling software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
