Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group, based in Hamilton, NJ, is seeking an experienced Senior - Supervising Mechanical Engineer (CF). The role focuses on leading complex mechanical design for commercial, life science, and R&D facilities, and developing and mentoring junior engineers.

The position emphasizes ownership of design quality, coordination across trades, and compliance with budget and schedule. A PE license and LEED AP are valued, with hybrid in-office/remote work options.

Qualifications

• Must hold PE license (Mechanical) and be registered as a Professional Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience: 8+ to 12+ years in a consulting environment.
• LEED AP accreditation is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, and telecom disciplines.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management for multiple projects and ensure design approaches are implemented.
• Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
• Supervise reports and analysis of system options and building conditions.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary work with other trades and consultants.
• Oversee construction administration duties and RFIs, bulletins, addenda.
• Contribute to staff mentoring and technical leadership.
