Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Degree fields include Aerospace, Software/CS, Electrical, Electronic, Electro-Optical, Mechanical.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering science, design and technology.
• Understand manufacturing processes and how they relate to design.
• Conceptualize, design and oversee fabrication of complex mechanical systems and analyze for manufacturability and cost.
• Produce engineering drawings.
• Create procedures for mechanical testing.
• Communicate design changes with management and production staff.
• Estimate costs to produce designs including material and labor.
• Calculate mechanical requirements to meet system design specifications.
• Understand static and dynamic events and structural integrity.
• Design electronic packages for harsh environments and ensure reliability.
• Understand effects of circuits on mechanical performance.
• Mitigate EMI issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
